Captain Sam Bellamy: A Wanted Man

A teen girl and her mother are rescued from bandits on their home planet by the Federation, promising them a fresh start on New Horizon. Their hopes for new opportunities are soon dashed once in space. Their vessel is attacked by pirates and Goldie finds herself aboard the ship of the notorious Captain Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy and his motley crew. Hearing the rumors about their ruthlessness she fears her fate when she becomes a stowaway. After being discovered, Black Sam reveals he knew her father, Benjamin Hornigold, and vows to help her shake his hated reputation. Goldie then offers her services as a linguist to help the pirates comb the galaxy for the valuable mineral called Emerald. Black Sam focuses his efforts on Federation ships that frequent New Horizon. Following a hunch, he discovers this planet is not the haven the Federation is claiming it to be, especially if his adversary, Admiral Rodgers is involved. His mission gets side-tracked when he runs into an old lover, Meri who he barely recognizes. Old feelings return to fan the flames of their former relationship. With the help of his colorful crew, and a slew of old friends Black Sam must save the galaxy from colonization.
